Pre-competition Training for “BOC STEM Talent Challenge”

This year’s “BOC STEM Talent Challenge” centers on the theme of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System. Participating students are tasked with integrating the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System while also considering its applications for Macao’s Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). To this end, students are encouraged to conduct thorough research into the key development areas and requirements of local SMEs. They are encouraged to channel their creativity and present innovative smart technology solutions. To provide essential support for achieving these objectives, the organization is going to arrange six pre-competition training workshops scheduled from October to November 2024. These workshops are open to all students and teachers from across Macao who are interested to apply for the “BOC STEM Talent Challenge”.

The workshops will offer an insightful introduction to the national BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, which encompasses three vital segments: the space segment, ground segment, and user segment. To facilitate hands-on learning, relevant experimental kits are provided and allowing them to gain practical experience in understanding the system’s capabilities and its wide-ranging applications within various industries in Macao.

Each workshop has a maximum capacity of 20 participants, with each group limited to a maximum of five participants, which includes teachers. You may choose your preferred time slots from the following options (select up to two sessions). The center will assign one of the time slots based on actual registrations and will notify participants via email one week before the workshop begins.
